ARGANIA SPINOSA (ARGAN) SEED OIL

Our virgin argan oil is extracted from the kernels of the fruit of the argan tree, Argania spinosa from the Sapotaceae family. The argan tree is endemic to Southwestern Morocco where this oil is traditionally used to treat acne, skin inflammation, eczema, psoriasis, wrinkles and hair loss.

It is mainly composed of (99%) fatty acids; up to 49% Oleic acid (omega-9), up to 36% linoleic acid (omega-6), and up to 15% Palmitic acid depending on extraction utilized. Argan oil also contains approximately 1% of unsaponifiable matters. These include strong antioxidants such as gamme-tocopherol and carotenes as well as sterols.
